Varina Library will continue its Classic Family Films series at 11 a.m. with “Heidi” (2005, NR, 104 minutes) and at 1 p.m. with “The Secret Garden” (1993, G, 101 minutes). “Heidi” is based on the book by Johanna Spyri and follows the story of a young Swiss orphan as she discovers a new life with her crusty grandfather in the Swiss Alps. “The Secret Garden” by Frances Hodgson Burnett tells of a young girl who discovers the magic of a special garden and the special friendships that can grow when planted with care. The Richmond Entrepreneur's Assistance Program (REAP) will present the Walk & Roll for Kindness event as part of its #REAPKindnessCampaign inside Regency Square Mall. The event, designed to raise funds for awareness of disabled individuals including job seekers and possible entrepreneurs, will feature a one-mile walk, food demonstrations, music, dance, a kid's play zone, prizes and kindness card creation stations. Amy Lacey from WRIC will serve as event host. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and teenagers and free for children up to age 12. Henrico County will present the 31st annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Celebration at 11:30 a.m. at Henrico High School, located at 302 Azalea Ave. The program, "The Legacy Continues," will feature music, speakers, community and service awards and more. Admission is free.
