Young Chefs Academy to host open house

Young Chefs Academy, located at 2230 John Rolfe Pkwy., will host an open house with Food Network Magazine on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Attendees will explore their creative culinary sides and participate in unique cooking experiences during the open house event. Sponsored by the California Grape Board, Sara Lee and Horizon Organic Milk, the event will allow children to create back-to-school snack recipes, learn kitchen safety tips, enjoy samples and win fun prizes. Young Chefs Academy is a place of discovery, learning, creativity and fun for children ages 3-18 who enjoy cooking. They offer camps, birthday parties, and a year-round culinary curriculum.
