CAT Theatre will present “Wishing Well” Jan. 20 through Feb. 4 at 319 N. Wilkinson Rd. in Henrico. CAT’s 2017 entry into the Acts of Faith Festival, “Wishing Well” is a contemporary comedy about mother-daughter revelations during one stormy weekend in North Carolina that puts the “fun” in dysfunctional. Retail Merchants Association to host March First Friday Forum on local food

The Retail Merchants Association’s March First Friday Forum will be held from 7:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at the University of Richmond’s Jepson Alumni Center. The program will highlight the local food movement and Real Local RVA, an organization that has been instrumental in raising awareness, education and support for local food. Come hear personal accounts about how it’s changing business models for local retailers, restaurants and farmers alike. Admission is $30 for RMA members and $40 for nonmembers. The Weinstein Jewish Community Center will host a free Community Purim Celebration from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Come dressed in costume and enjoy free carnival games and prizes, moon bounces, clowns and face-painting, arts and crafts, and more.
