NCGR Richmond Chapter to present “All Things Chiron” workshop

"All Things Chiron" by Adam Gainsburg is the focus of a workshop sponsored by the Richmond Chapter of the National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR) at 1 p.m. at the Weinstein Jewish Community Center. Gainsburg will examine the history, mythology, psychology, and spirituality of astrological Chiron (a planetoid between the orbits of Saturn and Uranus) to discover how openness and vulnerability can be an integral step toward self-empowerment. Free home maintenance workshop planned at Eastern Henrico Recreation Center

Henrico County Community Revitalization will present a free home maintenance workshop from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center. The topic will be “Home Improvements.” Learn about improvements that can increase accessibility to your home and allow you to age in place, as well as how to protect yourself when hiring a contractor. ComedySportz will present their hilarious, fast-paced and clean comedy at 8 p.m. Jan. 6 and at 7 p.m. Jan. 7 at the ComedySportz Improv Theatre, located at 8906-H West Broad St. ComedySportz Richmond pits two teams, the Richmond Legends and the Virginia Hams, against each other in an improv battle for laughs and points as they make up scenes, games and songs on the spot based off audience suggestions. There is also a referee that calls the fouls and the national anthem is even played before each match. The audience then votes for the winners. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
