The Mirror Mode Movement 3M Walk and Women’s Health Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center, 1440 N. Laburnum Ave. The 3M is hoping to unite girls and women and help put a stop to bullying, jealousy, hate, cliques and crime, while also providing women’s health awareness. Women’s groups, mentoring organizations, health clubs, beauty shops, corporate offices, families and sororities are invited. There will be a women's forum with Dr. Johnson-Threat and Kimberly Pinna, RN from Bon Secours Hospitals. Walgreens will be conducting free health screenings. Deep Run High School’s 2013 Marathon Dance, a student-run function that aims to raise money for organizations around the community, will be held March 15-16 in the school’s gymnasium. In its seven-year history, the dance has raised more than $863,000, and this year the students’ goal is to break the $1 million mark. The Wine Loft opened in West Broad Village in January 2010, offering a full bar with wine, beer, spirits and a kitchen with tapas-style snacks. It offers a seasonal patio area along Whittall Way. Its walk-in wine “humidor” in plain view from the bar offers more than 85 wines by the glass ($6-$65) and about 250 by the bottle ($28 and up), with some emphasis on Italian wines.
