Henrico County to host “Fight-the-Bite TODAY” at Fairfield MS

In an effort to prevent the potential spread of Zika virus, Henrico County is hosting "Fight-the-Bite TODAY," a free event designed to help citizens learn how to prevent mosquito bites and reduce Asian tiger mosquito populations, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fairfield Middle School, 5121 Nine Mile Road. Citizens are invited to stop by during the event to pick up free EPA-registered insect repellent, while supplies last. Educational materials and tools will be available, and various community partners and emergency preparedness agencies also will be present. Live demonstrations and Pick-a-Day to Fight-the-Bite interactive sessions will provide residents the resources to prevent mosquito bites.
