Innsbrook Foundation to present “Women of Worth”

The Innsbrook Foundation will present “Women of Worth” from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at North Shore Commons, 4951 Lake Brook Dr. This girls’ night out will raise money and awareness for Rising Creek Family Charity who help women and families transition from homelessness – bring a new houseware item to donate (for appropriate items, visit http://www.innsbrook.com). Painting opportunities will be available through Spirited Art and there will be music by Beazley Entertainment, inspiring speakers, food and wine selections, and items for sale from local artisans and boutiques. American Legion Post 125, located at 1401 Hilliard Rd., will hold a dance with a live band every Friday and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Snacks and coffee are provided; drinks are available for purchase. Michael Arad, the architect of the World Trade Center Memorial, will be the keynote speaker for The 2016 Adolf-Adams JCC Forum on Sat., Jan. 30, 2016 at 7:30 p.m., at the Carole and Marcus Weinstein Jewish Community Center in Henrico.
Arad’s “Reflecting Absence” architectural design was selected from more than 5,000 competitive entries as the template for the Memorial’s construction in New York City. During the forum, Arad will discuss the significance and symbolism of the design, as well as his inspiration.
