Henrico Police to offer rabies vaccines for dogs, cats at Western Government Center
May 18 2013 - A rabies tag and certificate of inoculation are included, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., $10
The Henrico County Division of Police will offer rabies vaccines for dogs and cats from 9 a.m. to noon at the Henrico County Government Center, 4301 E. Parham Rd. The clinic will be on the first level of the parking deck adjacent to the Administration Building. The shots cost $10 and must be paid for in cash. A rabies tag and certificate of inoculation are included. Pets from all localities are welcome. Henrico dog licenses will also be available. For details, call 727-8801.
Mirror Mode Movement 3M Walk, Women’s Health Fair at Eastern Henrico Rec Center
May 18 2013 - Motivate, Move & Make it happen!, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., $25
The Mirror Mode Movement 3M Walk and Women’s Health Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center, 1440 N. Laburnum Ave. The 3M is hoping to unite girls and women and help put a stop to bullying, jealousy, hate, cliques and crime, while also providing women’s health awareness. Women’s groups, mentoring organizations, health clubs, beauty shops, corporate offices, families and sororities are invited. There will be a women's forum with Dr. Johnson-Threat and Kimberly Pinna, RN from Bon Secours Hospitals. Walgreens will be conducting free health screenings.
