2016 Greater Richmond Holistic Expo planned at Richmond Raceway Complex

The 2016 Greater Richmond Holistic Expo, the first large-scale holistic expo in nearly two decades, will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Richmond Raceway Complex. Nourish the mind, body, soul and emotions in a friendly, professional and supportive environment. More than 150 holistic exhibitors selling jewelry, supplements, music, books, clothing, educational courses, body alignment evaluations and more will be in attendance. The Richmond Brain Aneurysm, Stroke and AVM Support Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House, a guest house run by Bon Secours at 1100 Libbie Ave. Survivors are not required to have been treated at a Bon Secours hospital. Innsbrook Wellness Forum to present “Skin Cancer Prevention & Care”

The Innsbrook Wellness Forum will present “Skin Cancer Prevention & Care” on Thursday, May 12 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Markel, 4501 Highwoods Pkwy., Carpenter Room B. Speaker is Patricia Corrigan, PharmD, BCOP. Corrigan is a clinical pharmacy specialist in hematology/oncology with VCU Medical Center and assistant clinical professor at VCU School of Pharmacy. May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Admission is free and open to the public. A free light lunch will be provided for those who register in advance. The Innsbrook Wellness Committee provides an avenue of information by promoting fitness, nutrition and educational opportunities. Walking MADD


Mothers Against Drunk Driving will present its annual Walk Like MADD 5k Dash/Walk on Apr. 16 at Dorey Park, 2999 Darbytown Road. Check-in starts at 8 a.m. with the walk beginning at 9 a.m. Walk Like MADD honors those killed or injured in impaired driving crashes. FamFest planned for April 9


Henrico's Division of Recreation & Parks will host FamFest from 1 p.m. 4 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at Deep Run Park.

The family event will begin with a giant ball drop and will feature colossal obstacle courses and mega-moon bounces as well as family "minute to win it" games and friendly competitions.
