Gallmeyer Farms will host its ninth annual Strawberry Fields Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Berry Patch, 3622 Darbytown Ct. The Berry Patch has five acres of pick-your-own strawberries. The festival features live music, hay rides and pony rides, craft vendors and local businesses, fresh local spring vegetables for sale and more. Coolers, chairs and dogs are welcome. Whale of a treat

I was overjoyed to head back for another meal at Ironfish by Pescados, considered the Best New Restaurant in 2011 by both the Richmond Times Dispatch and Richmond Magazine. I agree whole-heartedly with their ratings. Since I first visited the restaurant for my birthday in January, I was waiting for the perfect special occasion to return. I couldn’t wait another year, obviously.

Veteran restaurateur set to open in Short Pump

Paul Tran, along with his wife Ellen will open up Pho 1 Grill, a Vietnamese restaurant, in June in the Towne Center West Shopping Center.
Tran has been serving up Vietnamese food since the mid-’80s, his first being Que Huong on Rigsby Road. He also owned Mr. Chan’s on Horsepen Road and Saigon Gourmet on Hull Street Road. > Read more.
