UR School of Professional and Continuing Studies to offer reading skills programs
June 19 2013 - Sessions beginning June 19, Times vary,
University of Richmond’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies will offer eight different reading skills programs for four year olds through adults with sessions beginning June 19. Reading programs for younger students build comprehension and phonics and fluency skills. Programs for adults are geared toward improving comprehension and study skills, vocabulary and speed reading. QUEST! Lyceum, located at 2545 Bellwood Rd. in Chesterfield, will offer a tour of its demonstration facility from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The founder of Quest! Lyceum, Rick Young, is the leading authority on the Wright Brothers. He will give a briefing on the Wright Brothers’ 1911 glider reproduction that is on display at the demonstration facility and how the Wright’s solved the problem of powered flight.
