Citizen Staff Reports 06/21/12
The following are routine and complaint inspection reports for Henrico County food establishments inspected recently by the Henrico Health Department, according to Virginia Department of Health guidelines. Deficiencies are noted as “critical” (posing a direct or immediate threat to the safety of the food being served) or “non-critical” (representing a failure of cleaning or maintenance). Inspections represent only a snapshot of the establishment on a specific date and time and may not be representative of its overall cleanliness, according to the VDH. Unless noted, all reported violations were corrected at the time of inspection or shortly thereafter.
Banzara, 4032 Cox Road – No critical violations reported and four non-critical violations reported.
Bosschi Catering & Concessions, 8716 West Broad Street – No violations reported.
Glory Days Grill of Gleneagles, 10466 Ridgefield Parkway – One critical violation reported (sliced tomatoes and homemade ranch dressing in the small refrigerator observed at improper temperatures) and no non-critical violations reported.
Hondo’s, 4024 Cox Road – Two critical violations reported (dishmachine did not turn temperature test tape to indicate adequate sanitizing temperatures had been obtained; TCS items in walk-in box observed at improper temperatures, unit door had been open for some time) and nine non-critical violations reported.
Virginia Home For Boys and Girls, 8716 West Broad Street – No violations reported.
Casa Grande, 3532 Pump Road – No violations reported.
Cheesecake Factory, 11800 West Broad Street – No critical violations reported and four non-critical violations reported.
Hardee’s, 5000 West Broad Street – Two critical violations reported (peach cobbler found at improper temperature in steam table, reheating from refrigerator temperature; TCS food held in ice bath, omelet mix, country ham and pasteurized egg in pitcher found at improper temperatures) and no non-critical violations reported.
LABYMA Street Vending, 1241 North Laburnum Avenue – No violations reported.
Malabar Indian Cuisine, 3456 Lauderdale Drive – One critical violation reported (no sanitizer detected in dish machine, sanitizer line not connected) and no non-critical violations reported.
Martin’s Food Market, 4591 South Laburnum Avenue – No violations reported.
Minnieland, 3450 Lauderdale Drive – No critical violations reported and three non-critical violations reported.
Ray’s Italian Water Ice and Frozen Custard, 8023 West Broad Street – No critical violations reported and one non-critical violation reported.
TGI Friday’s, 11600 West Broad Street – One critical violation reported (cold TCS food observed at improper temperatures at saute prep refrigerator) and seven non-critical violations reported.
Dumbarton Elementary School, 9000 Hungary Spring – No violations reported.
Spring Arbor of Richmond, 9991 Ridgefield Parkway – Three critical violations reported (employees observed handling toast and sliced bananas with bare hands, and one employee opened a bag of cereal with his teeth; food debris observed on guard on slicer; milk and tuna salad sandwiches in two-door refrigerator/freezer observed at improper temperatures) and no non-critical violations reported.
