Snagajob ‘Hourly Gig’ contest pared to 5 finalists

Snagajob has selected five finalists in its 'Hourly Gig' competition, and one act will be selected by online voters to open for Brantley Gilbert at the Snagajob Pavilion in Innsbrook Sept. 19.
Three of the finalists have local connections, including the band Everwilde, whose lead singer, Dan Nicholls, is a mechanic in the region. The country band is influenced by Southern rock and blues.
Two other finalists – George Taylor and Emma White – are from the Richmond region originally. Taylor is now a flower delivery driver in Austin, Tex., while White is a student at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.
