The following are routine and complaint inspection reports for Henrico County food establishments inspected recently by the Henrico Health Department, according to Virginia Department of Health guidelines. Deficiencies are noted as “critical” (posing a direct or immediate threat to the safety of the food being served) or “non-critical” (representing a failure of cleaning or maintenance). Inspections represent only a snapshot of the establishment on a specific date and time and may not be representative of its overall cleanliness, according to the VDH. Unless noted, all reported violations were corrected at the time of inspection or shortly thereafter.

Capriccio Pizza, 9127A West Broad Street – No violations reported.
City Lights Of China, 12391 Gayton Road – One critical violation reported (eggs and fried chicken wings observed at improper temperatures, products were left out at room temperature overnight) and one non-critical violation reported.
Denny’s, 6598 West Broad Street – No critical violations reported and two non-critical violations reported.
Far East Bistro, 201 Town Center West Boulevard – One critical violation reported (dishmachine sanitizer rinse measured less than 10 ppm on test strip) and no non-critical violations reported.
Apollo’s Restaurant, 9410-B West Broad Street – No violations reported.
Buz and Ned’s Real Barbecue, 8205 West Broad Street – No violations reported.
Cook Out, 1501 Eastridge Road – No violations reported.
Great Steak & Potato, 11800 West Broad Street – One critical violation reported (employee did not wash hands before putting on gloves after changing soiled gloves) and no non-critical violations reported.
Hardee’s, 3201 East Parham Road – Two critical violations reported (men’s restroom timed water cutoff less than 10 seconds; found half-pints of milk on front line at 64 degrees) and no non-critical violations reported.
Henrico High School, 302 Azalea Avenue – No violations reported.
I Cater Cafe, 6935 Lakeside Avenue – One critical violation reported (containers in refrigeration were not properly dated) and no non-critical violations reported.
Spanish Soul Restaurant, 1412 Starling Drive – No violations reported.
Springhill Suites Virginia Center, 9701 Brook Road – No violations reported.
Famous Dave’s Restaurant, 10085 Brook Road – No violations reported.
Firehouse Subs, 9069 Staples Mill Road – No violations reported.
Flying Dragon Chinese Restaurant, 5314 Chamberlayne Road – Two critical violations reported (wares washed and rinsed but not sanitized; pork in reach-in unit, General Tso and chicken in same unit observed at improper temperatures, unable to cool due to malfunctioning refrigerator, eggs left at room temperature) and no non-critical violations reported.
New York Fried Chicken & Seafood, 5114 Richmond-Henrico Turnpike – Two critical violations reported (fried chicken, macaroni and cheese in display case observed at improper temperatures; food in sandwich prep unit – tomato, baked beans, sliced cheese – observed at improper temperatures and no thermometer in unit) and no non-critical violations reported.
The Learning Experience, 8710 Park Central Drive – No violations reported.
Panera Bread, 8800 Staples Mill Road – No violations reported.
Waffle House, 5102 Williamsburg Road – Two critical violations reported (raw chopped steaks stored above bacon; no date found on sausage gravy, no dates on cut cream pies) and one non-critical violation reported.
River City Diner North, 803 East Parham Road – Two critical violations reported (sausage gravy made using cooked cooled sausage was not reheated to 165 degrees; menu items – eggs, burgers, steaks – not properly disclosed as per regulations) and no non-critical violations reported.

CalendarRiver Road Church, Baptist will present Grammy-nominated harpsichordist Jory Vinikour from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The concert takes place two days before Johann Sebastian Bach’s 332nd birthday; Vinikour will help celebrate this occasion by performing Bach’s classics. Vinikour appears regularly as harpsichordist at the finest opera houses and festivals in Europe. In 2017, he will play continuo for the next installment in Nézet-Séguin's Mozart cycle, “La clemenza di Tito,” with Rolando Villazón singing the title role. The concert is part of the E.
