Virginia Randolph Education Center to host open house on Nov. 9

Virginia Randolph Education Center (VREC), which provides educational services to students with special needs, will hold an open house to showcase new materials and equipment on Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. VREC received a special education grant that allowed them to renovate parts of their facility and invest in new and innovative learning tools for special needs children. Faculty will lead a tour of the center’s functional living suite and demonstrate new equipment. The Henrico community is encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be provided. SingleStone Consulting will host its first annual Cornhole for a Cause charity cornhole tournament at 4 p.m. at 4101 Cox Rd. All proceeds will benefit Greater Richmond SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now). Non-refundable entry fee is $50 per team through Apr. 30 and $75 per team through May 18; fee covers admission for both players, two t-shirts and six drink tickets. Boards and bags are provided.
