Citizen Staff Reports 05/19/11
Following are routine and complaint inspection reports for Henrico County food establishments inspected recently by the Henrico Health Department, according to Virginia Department of Health guidelines. Deficiencies are noted as “critical” (posing a direct or immediate threat to the safety of the food being served) or “non-critical” (representing a failure of cleaning or maintenance). Inspections represent only a snapshot of the establishment on a specific date and time and may not be representative of its overall cleanliness, according to the VDH. Unless noted, all reported violations were corrected at the time of inspection or shortly thereafter.
Boardwalk, Inc., 2106 Henderson Road – No critical violations reported and two non-critical violations reported.
Bubba’s Restaurant, 4000 Williamsburg Road – No violations reported during follow-up inspection.
DeFazio’s Catering, 2601 Tuckernuck Drive – No violations reported and three non-critical violations reported.
International House of Pancakes, 9820 West Broad Street, Glen Allen – Two critical violations reported (food surfaces found dirty; cold food observed at improper temperatures) and three non-critical violations reported.
Pho 79, 6909 Staples Mill Road – No violations reported.
Tara Thai, 11800 West Broad Street, Suite 2516 – No violations reported during follow-up inspection.
Cinnabistro, 10101 Brook Road, Suite 460, Glen Allen – No critical violations reported during follow-up inspection.
Great Wraps, 1080 Virginia Center Parkway, Suite 101, Glen Allen – Two critical violations reported (sharpener found dirty; sliced cheese wrapped but not labeled) and six non-critical violations reported.
Hong Kong Kitchen, 2907 Williamsburg Road – Six critical violations reported (personal drinks with no straws found in kitchen; driver returned from trip and cooked order without washing hands on two separate occasions; pan observed being washed in sink but not sanitized; wings, breaded chicken, rice observed at improper temperatures; food on make table observed at improper temperatures; no dates observed on several cooked foods) and seven non-critical violations reported.
Innsbrook Cafe, 4551 Cox Road, Suite 112, Glen Allen – No violations reported.
Westwood Club, 6200 West Club Lane – No violations reported during follow-up inspection.
Martin’s Food Market, 9782 Gayton Road – No violations reported during follow-up inspection.
Chili’s Grill and Bar, 9950 Brook Road, Glen Allen – One critical violation reported (chopping and dicing equipment not cleaned after use) and two non-critical violations reported.
Meadow Glen, 2400 Gaskins Road – Five critical violations reported (open cup of beverage observed on shelf above prep table; old food particles observed on slicer; oatmeal observed at 47 degrees after seven hours; soup and several ready-to-eat foods not date-labeled; some unpasteurized eggs being served inappropriately) and three non-critical violations reported.
Minnieland, 3450 Lauderdale Drive – One critical violation reported (chlorine levels at improper strength) and three non-critical violations reported.
Sakura Japanese Restaurant, 9008 West Broad Street – No violations reported.
Sbarro, 1404 North Parham Road, Suite F107 – No critical violations reported and five non-critical violations reported.
