‘Taste of Virginia’ returning to Innsbrook Pavilion July 1


Are you ready to explore your taste buds?

Innsbrook's second-annual 'Taste of Virginia' festival, hosted July 1 at the Innsbrook Pavilion by the Innsbrook Foundation and the Innsbrook Rotary, will be a culinary event full of everything delicious that Virginia has to offer.

The festival, presented by Capital Ale House, will showcase food from local restaurants, as restaurants compete in a Whole Foods Market culinary competition for the “Taste of Virginia” title.

Yoga center hosting art exhibit


Glenmore Yoga and Wellness Center in western Henrico County is currently hosting a display of pastel paintings created by members of the Mid-Atlantic Pastel Society.

The exhibit (which includes Affirmation by Elizabeth Hood, pictured) features meditative scenes of nature as well as still life arrangements.

The Henrico County Historical Society will hold its annual meeting at 2:30 p.m. at Walkerton Tavern. The speaker will be Dr. Louis H. Manarin who will present “Henricoans I Have Encountered.” Manarin, a historian and former state archivist of the Commonwealth, is the author, co-author and editor of 12 books on Virginia and North Carolina history, including “The History of Henrico County.” He has been a resident of Henrico County for over 35 years. The Henrico County Historical Society is celebrating its 42nd anniversary this year. Full text
