European Taste restaurant is the result of owners' Ligia and Adrian Sava's dream. Ligia brings in her love of food and knowledge of family recipes she learned while growing up in the heartland of Romania. Adrian is the host who uses his warmth and spirit to make people feel like they are in a Romanian home. 

Two of the restaurant's Romanian specialties are its Transylvanian Sausage (a combination of ground meat and special spices imported from Romania) and its Sarmale (a blend of ground meat, rice and spices stuffed in a cabbage leaf and slowly cooked to ensure flavor infusion).

The first Firebirds Wood Fired Grill opened at the turn of the millennium in Charlotte, N.C. Today, the company operates restaurants across the United States. Welcome to Trak’s Greek & Italian Restaurant, a family restaurant owned and operated by the Hanna family. Since 1982 Trak’s has been serving families delicious homemade Greek & Italian cuisine. We serve the best calamari in town with a wide variety of specialties, such as our famous gyro, souvlaki sandwiches, moussaka, pastichio, lasagna, and baked spaghetti dishes … all served with our freshly baked "heavenly" bread. Family meal offers creative American-themed comfort and Southern-inspired dishes from acclaimed executive chef Bryan Voltaggio, runner-up on Bravo's sixth season of the "Top Chef" TV show. It serves family favorites with high quality ingredients and recipes reminiscent of your family table.

Voltaggio, also a finalist on Top Chef Masters season five, is the executive chef and owner of six restaurants, including VOLT, Lunchbox, Family Meal, RANGE and two locations of AGGIO. He is a son of the Chesapeake, born and bred in Frederick, Md.

Family Meal offers modern twists on American classics, unique comfort food and a children’s menu among other options. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a wide assortment of food from local farms.

Voltaggio opened Family Meal with his business partner, Hilda Staples.

Kuba Kuba Dos

Kuba Kuba Dos, the second location of the Fan District Cuban restaurant Kuba Kuba, is now a proud resident of the West End in the Tuckahoe Shopping Center.

Kuba Kuba Dos is locally owned and operated by Johnny Giavos, Manny Mendez, and chef Hugo Jordan, who spent years at Kuba Kuba, which opened about 20 years ago.

The restaurant offers many egg dishes all day; sandwich selections, including the trademark Cuban; entrees featuring paella, roast pork, beef and seafood; and the popular tres leches cake.

There are weekday happy hour food and drink specials, including extensive rum-based selections, all served from a beautiful bar in this airy, light-filled room with its stamped-tin ceilings, wall art and vintage-look posters.
