Innsbrook’s 5th Annual Lake Clean-up Day will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers will collect trash surrounding all three lakes at Innsbrook. The Henrico East Rotary Club will host its 2nd Annual Rockin’ the Raceway charity event from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Colonial Downs Racetrack in New Kent County. This year’s goal is to purchase a new pool lift for wheelchair patrons at the Chickahominy YMCA. This lift will also be used by persons that need physical therapy and seniors working to regain flexibility and mobility. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the event. The Henrico County NAACP Annual Prayer Breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Quioccasin Baptist Church, 9011 Quioccasin Rd. The theme will be “Steadfast and Unmovable” and Rev. Celebrate Earth Day and Henrico County’s 400th Anniversary from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Three Lakes Park, 400 Sausiluta Dr. Live music will be provided by rock and pop-music duo, OminOtagO, and the Tucker High School jazz band. Activities and entertainment will include educational booths and displays, recycling games, arts and crafts, face painting and more. The Wildlife Center of Virginia will be onsite with live animals and the Three Lakes Nature Center will feature hands-on activities. There is no rain date. The event is free. All ages are invited to see Tap Team Two and Company present “Reflections: Emotions in Motion, Rhythms in Rhymes, Spirits in Bodies, Dancing in Time” at 7:30 p.m. at Henrico Theatre, 305 E. Henrico Police and Henrico Division of Solid Waste and Recycling will conduct a document shredding and electronics recycling event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Virginia Center Commons Mall, 10101 Brook Rd. Citizens will be able to have personal information securely shred for free on site by Shred-it. Additionally, citizens will be able to responsibly dispose of unwanted electronics such as computers, printers, scanners, copiers, VCRs, camcorders, stereos and more. A coalition of local organizations will sponsor a showing of “9500 Liberty” at 12 p.m. at the Byrd Theatre, 2908 W. Cary St. The documentary film by Annabel Park and Eric Byler documents the recent battles over immigrant policy in Prince William County in northern Virginia. The showing will be followed by a panel discussion and question and answer session on immigration and immigrants’ rights issues. A donation of $2 is requested. Richmond National Battlefield Park, the American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar and Future of Richmond’s Past will host a city-wide event marketing the 150th anniversary of Virginia’s decision to secede from the Union. Special programs exploring this event will include guided walking and bus tours, cannon firing, period music, a marketplace, and children’s games, exhibits and artifact washing. Venues include Historic Tredegar, the Richmond Slave Trail, Belle Isle, Shockoe Bottom’s Lumpkins’ Jail and Main Street Station and the Maggie Walker National Historic Site in Jackson Ward.
