Fairfield Commons, 4869 Nine Mile Rd., will host the Great Teddy Bear Giveaway and holiday concert from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The first 200 children under age 10 will receive a free teddy bear. Entertainment will be provided by “Da Twins,” Bridgett Johnson and teen singing sensation Nyasia. Cavell Phillips will host the event. The American Youth Harp Ensemble’s annual Holiday Harper’s Bazaar will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 4200 Dover Rd. Admission is free and Bazaar proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Club and St. Andrew’s School Harp Outreach Programs. The American Youth Harp Ensemble will also present its holiday concert “Harp! The Herald Angels Play!” at 3 p.m. with a special prelude at 2:30 p.m. featuring The Virginia Choristers. Henrico Division of Recreation and Parks will host Holiday on Parade: An Eastern Henrico Celebration starting at 12 p.m. at Hidden Creek Recreation Center, 2417 Brockway Ln. There will be crafts, Christmas cookies and other children’s activities until 2 p.m. Take a trip down memory lane from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clarke-Palmore House, 904 McCoul St., which is decorated with vintage 1930-40s holiday decorations. There will also be refreshments and the opportunity to make a vintage holiday decoration to take home. There will also be tours, refreshments and children’s activities from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The Armour House & Gardens, 4001 Clarendon Rd. The 1970 classic film “Scrooge” will play at the Henrico Theatre, 305 E. The Richmond Men’s Chorus and Richmond Women’s Chorus will present a joint concert celebrating the holidays titled “Harps of Gold” at 8 p.m. Dec. 10 and at 3 p.m. Dec. 11 at Ginter Park Presbyterian Church, 3601 Seminary Ave. Benjamin Britten’s masterpiece, “Ceremony of Carols,” accompanied by harp, will be the centerpiece of the Women’s Chorus program.
