The Bifocals Players, shows starring actors age 55 and older, will present “No Deposit, No Return” at 2 p.m. at Virginia Rep’s Children’s Theatre at Willow Lawn, 1601 Willow Lawn Dr. The show is written and directed by local playwright Jay Morehouse. The Craftsmen’s Classic Art & Craft Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 27 and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 28. The show features original designs and work from hundreds of talented artists and craftspeople from across the nation. There is something for every style, taste and budget with items from the most traditional to the most contemporary. The University of Richmond continues its fall International Film Series with “Amador” at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 in Jepson Hall, Room 118, and at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Robins School of Business, Ukrop Auditorium. Eastern Henrico FISH will host a benefit concert at 6:30 p.m. at Fort Lee Baptist Church, 2727 Charles City Rd. Churchyard Grass and other local talents will perform. The Center Season at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen continues with “The Return” at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. This Beatles tribute band will take the audience on a journey back to the 1960s, a time when the Fab Four dominated the music charts. Henrico County will host the grand re-opening of Elko Community Center from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Built in 1924 the center was the meeting place for the Windsor Club of Elko. During World War II the Elko community gained some historical significance when the U.S. military converted part of the Elko Tract into a decoy airfield in an effort to secure Byrd Airport. Team Absolute, a local “modern custom” automotive club, will host the first annual Kids Come First Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the parking lot of Quaker Steak & Lube, 8000 W. Broad St. There will be 60 trophies and specialty awards presented. Registration is $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. Entertainment will include a stunt rider, cornhole tournament, live DJ, raffles and more. Funds raised will support the Children’s Hospital Foundation. Admission is free. Last summer, hundreds of Anthem LemonAid stands dotted Central Virginia and raised more than $100,000 in support of cancer treatment and research at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU (CHoR). This July 17-19, Anthem is inviting community members to host an Anthem LemonAid stand in support of the children who are battling the disease. During the past 13 summers, Anthem LemonAid has raised more than $1 million. All funds raised support the Hematology and Oncology Clinic at the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU.
Anthem LemonAid is Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ signature summer event. It’s free to participate and is designed for children, families, community groups and businesses alike. > Read more.

The Henricopolis Soil & Water Conservation District will sponsor a tree seedling giveaway on April 2 at Dorey Park Shelter 1 from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on April 3 at Hermitage High School parking lot from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Bare-root tree seedlings are available to Henrico County residents free of charge for the spring planting season.
The following seedling species will be available: apple, kousa dogwood, red maple, river birch, red osier dogwood, loblolly pine, sycamore, bald cypress, white dogwood and redbud. Quantities are limited and trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each participant is allowed up to 10 trees total, not to include more than five of the same species. > Read more.

Wondering where to go to play Bingo? Wonder no more.
The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) recently launched an online directory of permitted bingo games played in Virginia. Listed by locality, more than 400 regular games are available across the state. The directory will be updated monthly and can be found on VDACS’ website at http://www.vdacs.virginia.gov/gaming/index.shtml.
