The 54th annual Armenian Food Festival will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 21-22 and from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 23 at St. James Armenian Church, 834 Pepper Ave. Authentic Armenian dishes like stuffed grape leaves, bulghur salad and Armenian green beans, and signature pastries such as simit (tea cookie), bourma (rolled philo filled with walnuts) and khourabia (sweet cookie) will be available for purchase. Crossroads Art Center, 2016 Staples Mill Rd., will hold its September Indoor Artwalk and Artist Reception from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitors will learn from the artists what inspires them to create their works of art. The Chrysalis Group will hold its Autumnal Equinox Labyrinth Walk from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Chrysalis Outdoor Labyrinth, located on the grounds of Union Theological Seminary. The Modlin Center for the Arts at the University of Richmond will show an encore presentation of National Theatre Live’s “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” at 7:30 p.m. This new production offers a richly theatrical exploration of the touching and bleakly humorous novel by Mark Haddon and will be broadcast from the National’s smallest theatre, the Cottesloe.
