Thursdaenite Players, a local faith-based theater guild, will perform Sarah Ruhl’s “Eurydice” at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 3-4 at Christ Presbyterian Church, 2508 Dickens Rd. “Eurydice” is a re-telling of the Greek myth of Orpheus’ descent into Hades to rescue his bride. A special event to celebrate memories of the “old” John Marshall High School, formerly located in Richmond at Eight and Marshall Streets, will take place from noon to 6 p.m. at Richmond Raceway Complex, 600 E. Laburnum Ave. All who lived the experience of JM from 1909-1960 are invited to participate in the gathering which is sponsored by The Friends of Old Jayem.
