The Henrico Police Athletic League (PAL) will host a Mentor Day Carnival from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Genworth Campus, 6620 W. Broad St. There will be an opportunity to learn more about Henrico PAL and its mentoring program and the chance to register, if individuals want to mentor or need a mentor. In addition to food, games and prizes, there will be an appearance by the Lady Raiders from the Richmond Raiders Professional Indoor Football team and information regarding voter registration. YMCA of Greater Richmond and Goodwill will host an electronics recycling event during business hours at all greater Richmond locations including Chickahominy, John Rolfe, North Richmond, Shady Grove and Tuckahoe branches in Henrico. Organizers hope to collect 15 tons of unwanted electronics including personal computers, keyboards, mice, monitors, printers and scanners. Little Sisters of the Poor will host the 4th annual French Food Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Home, 1503 Michaels Rd. There will be French desserts, chocolates, bread and wine and for the first time, there will be a Parisian Marketplace offering a variety of unique vendors. There will also be live entertainment by local artists and fun-filled games and activities for children. Admission is free but donations are appreciated. Be The Match will host the Be The One® Richmond run/walk at 7 a.m. at North Shore Commons, 4901 Lake Brook Dr. in Innsbrook.
