The Organization of Virginia Homeschoolers will host its 2012 Conference and Resource Fair March 23-24 at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, 2880 Mountain Rd. Leigh St. The FeedMore 200 is a family-friendly night designed to “Pack the Track and Stack the Shelves.” Race attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods to help feed hungry neighbors through the Central Virginia Food Bank, the Community Kitchen and Meals on Wheels. The 9th annual Kids Walk for Kids, supporting coordinators2inc, will be held rain or shine at 8:30 a.m. at Benedictine College Preparatory, 304 N. Sheppard St. Funds will support the services of coordinators2inc and their program that recruits and prepares parents to adopt children waiting in the Virginia foster care system, as well as supporting children by preparing them for the move from temporary home to a permanent, forever family.
