Summer concert series at Short Pump Town Center starts Thursday

National recording artist Toad the Wet Sprocket kicks-off the Summer Concert Series at Short Pump Town Center on Thursday, June 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the main plaza. Toad the Wet Sprocket was one of the most successful alternative rock bands in the early 90s. The band achieved fame with their album “Fear” (released in 1991) and the singles “All I Want” and “Walk on the Ocean” reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Summer Concert Series will continue every Thursday night until August 16. Admission is free. Town center retailers will offer giveaways and a $500 Short Pump Town Center gift card will be given away at each concert.

The Children's Clothing Closet at Highland Springs United Methodist Church will be open Saturday, Aug. 27 and Tuesday, Aug. 30 to provide free new or nearly new children's clothing for families in need, prior to the start of the school year.
