The American Cancer Society and its Western Henrico committee members are seeking volunteers in the surrounding areas to assist with the 2011 Relay for Life.

The committee is responsible for organizing the event, recruiting fundraising teams, garnering community support, coordinating logistics, planning entertainment and seeking donations to ensure the continued success of Relay For Life. The committee meets regularly. The meetings have started the planning process for Relay For Life, which supports the American Cancer Society’s mission of saving lives by helping people stay well and get well, finding cures and fighting back against the disease.
