New signs installed in Meadowood

Two new signs were installed this week in the Meadowood subdivision, near Henrico High School, marking the community of 1960s-era brick ranchers and tri-level homes.

The signs of gold lettering on a black background feature an oval picture of birds soaring above a meadow and trees – significant because streets in the subdivision are named for birds. The signs were installed at Lark and Richmond-Henrico Turnpike and Sandpiper and Azalea Avenue.

Funding was provided by a grant from Henrico County and from the residents and members of the homeowners association.

CAT Theatre will again be the East Coast Host to the Red Eye 10s International Play Festival at 7 p.m. This 24-hour, 10-minute play festival features six original plays in multiple theaters around the world on the same day.
