New signs installed in Meadowood

Two new signs were installed this week in the Meadowood subdivision, near Henrico High School, marking the community of 1960s-era brick ranchers and tri-level homes.

The signs of gold lettering on a black background feature an oval picture of birds soaring above a meadow and trees – significant because streets in the subdivision are named for birds. The signs were installed at Lark and Richmond-Henrico Turnpike and Sandpiper and Azalea Avenue.

Funding was provided by a grant from Henrico County and from the residents and members of the homeowners association.

The American Youth Harp Ensemble, the Virginia Choristers and the Chamber Music Institute will present a “UK Tour Preview Concert/Fundraiser” at 2 p.m. at 7th on Grove, 4101 Grove Ave. Part of the Music from Grove Summer 2017 concert series.
