Miracles in Motion presents Christmas concert on Dec. 21

Miracles in Motion, a dance class designed specifically for children with disabilities, will hold its first Christmas concert at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, 2880 Mountain Rd.

The classes, taught by the Ann Catherine Cross School of Dance, cover many styles of dance including ballet, jazz, modern and musical theater. Every session is re-structured to meet the specific needs of each child participating. Miracles in Motion began in 2007 and the program supports all dancers with special needs, including wheelchair-bound, autistic, blind and deaf.

Reynolds CC to host sculptor Paul DiPasquale

Reynolds Community College will host Richmond sculptor Paul DiPasquale Sept. 28 as he shares his presentation “Art Talk, Why Art Matters” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Conference Center Gallery of the Workforce Development and Conference Center on the Parham Road Campus, located at 1651 E. Free children’s clothing for those in need

The Children's Clothing Closet at Highland Springs United Methodist Church will be open Saturday, Aug. 27 and Tuesday, Aug. 30 to provide free new or nearly new children's clothing for families in need, prior to the start of the school year.
