Lions Club peace contest accepting submissions

![]() The 2012-13 theme is “Imagine Peace” and students may enter the essay contest or poster contest to express their feelings about peace. Essays must be no longer than 500 words in length, submitted in English, type-written in black ink and double spaced. Students entering the poster contest may use a variety of mediums, including charcoal, crayon, pencil or paint. Students who are ages 11-13 by Nov. 15 are eligible to participate. The contest is open to students who are visually impaired. The local winner’s entry will be submitted to District competition. One grand prize winner will receive an award of $5,000 from Lions Clubs International. Submission deadline is Sept. 28.
