Knit-terrific Donations

The “Knitters of Cedarfield” made their annual donation of knitted caps to the Henrico Christmas Mother Dec. 6 at the Hermitage at Cedarfield, presenting 100 caps to be used by needy families. Among the Christmas Mothers on hand to thank knitters were Mitty Sledd, 1975 (left, seated), Robin Smith, 2009 (left, standing) and Dorothy Tatem, 2010 (right, seated).

The presentation was followed by a program of holiday music, courtesy of the Greater Richmond Chorus, and sales of additional knitted caps by Cedarfield resident Charlotte McCutcheon, who donates all proceeds to the Henrico Christmas Mother and the Central Virginia Food Bank.
