Henrico woman wins $200k

Henrico resident Felicia Walker went to A&A Convenience Store on Hungary Spring Road in Henrico recently to play the Virginia Lottery's Cash 5 game, but the clerk was on the phone and couldn't assist her. So, instead, she bought a pair of $200,000 Jackpot scratcher tickets and took them home with her. One turned out to be the third of seven grand-prize winners. Walker's $200,000 win came on the day before her birthday. Walker, who works as a courtroom clerk, said she would use her winnings to help her family and boost her savings.

Reynolds CC to host sculptor Paul DiPasquale


Reynolds Community College will host Richmond sculptor Paul DiPasquale Sept. 28 as he shares his presentation “Art Talk, Why Art Matters” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Conference Center Gallery of the Workforce Development and Conference Center on the Parham Road Campus, located at 1651 E. Free children’s clothing for those in need

The Children's Clothing Closet at Highland Springs United Methodist Church will be open Saturday, Aug. 27 and Tuesday, Aug. 30 to provide free new or nearly new children's clothing for families in need, prior to the start of the school year. The Short Pump Ruritan Club's 26th annual Craft Show will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Short Pump Middle School, 4701 Pouncey Tract Rd.
