Corvette Club of Richmond seeking plush bunnies for Bunny Run

The Corvette Club of Richmond (CCR) is seeking plush bunnies for its first annual Corvette Cruise-In and Bunny Wrangling on Saturday, March 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Padow’s Hams & Deli/Celebrity Room, 9864 W. Broad St. The event is open to all Corvettes with reserved Corvette-only parking. Participants are invited to vote for their favorite Corvette by donating a new plush bunny.
The bunny buddies will be delivered to patients at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond during CCR’s 16th annual Bunny Run on Saturday, March 31. Corvette owners are invited to meet at 12:15 p.m. at Smith Turf & Irrigation, 2201 Dabney Rd. The group will depart for the Children’s Hospital at 12:45 p.m. and once the kids are ready, the parade of Corvettes will proceed and unload the bunnies. The public is invited. Refreshments will be served. For those unable to attend, bunnies can be donated at the following locations until March 30: Brooks Optical, 5520 Lakeside Ave.; Cupertino’s New York Bagels, 3621 Cox Rd.; Griffith Family Chiropractic, 10170-C Staples Mill Rd.; Padow’s Hams & Deli/Celebrity Room, 9864 W. Broad St.; and Starbucks, 790 Southpark Blvd. in Colonial Heights. Henrico Junior 4-H camp registration open

For parents looking to keep their kids outside and away from the video games this summer, the Virginia Cooperative Extension is still accepting registrations for the 2013 Henrico Junior 4-H Camp.
The camp will be held June 17-23, and is open to boys and girls ages 9-13. A total of 10 spaces for boys and 27 spaces for girls remain available, and registration is open until May 24. The cost is $230, which includes lodging, meals, programs, instructional materials and charter bus transportation. > Read more.

Veteran restaurateur set to open in Short Pump
Tran’s Pho 1 Grill will serve Vietnamese fare

Paul Tran, along with his wife Ellen will open up Pho 1 Grill, a Vietnamese restaurant, in June in the Towne Center West Shopping Center.
