Antique cars coming to Lakeside

![]() The club is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and its tour, Aug. 27-31, will feature antique automobiles built in 1915 and years prior. It will stop Aug. 28 at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. The tour will visit several Civil War sites Aug. 27, along with Hanover Tavern and Hanover Courthouse. The following day, in addition to the Lewis Ginter visit, the group will travel to the Museum District in Richmond to explore the Virginia Historical Society Museum, which features the Richmond-built Kline Kar (pictured above). On Aug. 29, the club will visit western Hanover County, including Scotchtown, the Beaver Dam Railroad Depot and Ashland. The following day of the tour will take participants to Berkeley Plantation, and the event will conclude Aug. 31 with a visit to the Tuckahoe Plantation and the home of Cindi and Reggie Nash. Henrico Junior 4-H camp registration open

For parents looking to keep their kids outside and away from the video games this summer, the Virginia Cooperative Extension is still accepting registrations for the 2013 Henrico Junior 4-H Camp.
The camp will be held June 17-23, and is open to boys and girls ages 9-13. A total of 10 spaces for boys and 27 spaces for girls remain available, and registration is open until May 24. The cost is $230, which includes lodging, meals, programs, instructional materials and charter bus transportation. > Read more.
