The Craftsmen’s Classic Art & Craft Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 27 and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 28. The Richmond Out of the Darkness Community Walk, a fundraising walk supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Deep Run Park, 9900 Ridgefield Pkwy. The walk aims to raise money for prevention and awareness and to offer hope to the millions of people that battle depression, bipolar illness, addiction and other mental illness. More than 200 similar walks are being held nationwide through December and are expected to raise more than $7.5 million for suicide prevention efforts. Henrico County will host the grand re-opening of Elko Community Center from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Built in 1924 the center was the meeting place for the Windsor Club of Elko. During World War II the Elko community gained some historical significance when the U.S. military converted part of the Elko Tract into a decoy airfield in an effort to secure Byrd Airport. Team Absolute, a local “modern custom” automotive club, will host the first annual Kids Come First Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the parking lot of Quaker Steak & Lube, 8000 W.
