‘Stilettoes Stomping Cancer’ shop night planned Sunday

Care Advantage, Inc. and Stein Mart are sponsoring a shop night fundraiser to raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Cure by Design. The ‘Stilettoes Stomping Cancer’ shop night will be held Sunday, Oct. 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Stein Mart location in Short Pump.

There will be live music and entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, giveaways, door prizes and more. Attendees will also gain fashion and styling tips and discounts while shopping for the perfect outfit to wear to Cure by Design, another American Cancer Society fundraiser. Cure by Design is a fashion show, auction and reception fundraiser being held on Oct. 27 at the John Marshall Ballroom. For more information, visit http://www.curebydesign.org.

Reynolds CC to host sculptor Paul DiPasquale


Reynolds Community College will host Richmond sculptor Paul DiPasquale Sept. 28 as he shares his presentation “Art Talk, Why Art Matters” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Conference Center Gallery of the Workforce Development and Conference Center on the Parham Road Campus, located at 1651 E. Free children’s clothing for those in need

The Children's Clothing Closet at Highland Springs United Methodist Church will be open Saturday, Aug. 27 and Tuesday, Aug. 30 to provide free new or nearly new children's clothing for families in need, prior to the start of the school year.
