SEPTEMBER 15 The Junior League of Richmond will hold its 7th annual Touch a Truck from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Richmond International Raceway. Touch a Truck offers children a hands-on opportunity to explore their favorite trucks and professional vehicles and to meet the people who build, protect and serve the community. Featured vehicles include police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, bulldozers, dump trucks and tractor trailers. There will also be snack bars, bounce houses, games, crafts, vendors and more. Admission is $5. Family four packs are $15. VIP tickets are $10 each or four for $35. Proceeds benefit the Junior League of Richmond. Fan Care offers heat relief to seniors

Qualifying senior citizens can receive free relief from summer heat through the 23rd annual Fan Care program, which provides fans and cooling assistance to seniors 60 and older in need.
The program is an initiative of Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging for seniors who meet income eligibility requirements and have a situation that threatens their health. > Read more.
