‘2012 Foundation’s Finest’ raises money for cystic fibrosis
Citizen Staff Reports 06/11/12
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Virginia Chapter recently announced the 2012 Foundation’s Finest Class. Thirteen of Richmond’s finest young professionals have started a seven week fundraising blitz. Their goal is to raise $3,000 each through a combination of donations, ticket sales, auction donations, sponsorships, and planning special events around the community.
The Foundation’s Finest program is an event of the CF Young Professionals Leadership Council and guided by event co-chairs Jessica Chandler of Wardrobe Richmond and Amanda Weiner of Saxon Shoes.
The program will culminate at the White Party, which will be held June 14 at the Boathouse at Rockett’s Landing with entertainment from King Edward and the B.D.’s. Tickets are $75 per person or $125 per couple and include live music, dancing, silent auction, an open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres. Guests are asked to wear at least 75 percent white to preserve the party theme.
