Broad St. Eight teams were chosen for the inaugural competition: George Mason University (Mason Improv Association), J. Sargeant Reynolds (The JSR Not-Quite-Ready-For-A-Four-Year-Institution Players), Old Dominion University (DaMinions), University of Maryland-College Park (Erasable Inc.), University of Miami (Miami Boot Squad), University of North Carolina (Improv-A-Nation), University of Richmond (Subject to Change) and Virginia Commonwealth University (Rambling Ramblers). March 16 will feature all of the Elite Eight colleges battling it out over the course of two shows – 8 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. The winners of Friday's matches will move on to the Final Four competition March 17 at 7 p.m. and then the victors of those matches will meet in the championship round immediately following at 9:30 p.m. The champion will walk away with the very first ever Humorous Cup. Fan Care offers heat relief to seniors

Qualifying senior citizens can receive free relief from summer heat through the 23rd annual Fan Care program, which provides fans and cooling assistance to seniors 60 and older in need.
The program is an initiative of Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging for seniors who meet income eligibility requirements and have a situation that threatens their health. > Read more.
