You may submit a classified (text only) advertisement to us by clicking here. You must first register as a user (free) before you are able to submit your ad. Can I subscribe to the Henrico Citizen print edition?

How many weeks before an event should I submit it to you?
Because we publish only twice each month, we recommend submitting your events as early as possible to ensure they appear at least once in print. Ideally, we would like to receive submissions 45-60 days prior to the date of the event.

I submitted an event but it didn't appear in print. Why not?
We receive numerous events each month and are unable to publish each one. We attempt to publish a wide variety of event notices from various organizations, giving preference to those that take place in Henrico and have a wide-reaching appeal to our readers. If your event was not included, we may have received it too late or simply lacked available space to include it this time. We do make every effort to include as many events as possible in our online calendar of events, which you may view here.

What other items may I submit to you?
We accept submissions of births, engagements, weddings, anniversaries, business announcements, church and religion news and events, personal milestones, school news, reunions, youth sports and achievement news and other community news of interest. How can I purchase reprints of photos or pages?
We offer a number of published and unpublished photos for sale, as well as page reprints. You may view them and order items by clicking here.

How can I obtain a copy of a back issue?

project:HOMES’ ‘Renew Crew’ helps Henrico citizen


The project:HOMES "Renew Crew" (above) recently assisted an elderly member of the Laurel Presbyterian Church in Henrico by clearing brush, trimming hedges and raking leaves in her yard.

The Renew Crew serves low-income, disabled and elderly homeowners in need of small-scale home repairs such as porch, railing and step repairs, exterior painting, clearing overgrown yards, tearing down outbuildings, wheelchair ramps and other critical repairs and accessibility modifications. > Read more.

Alzheimer’s Walk raises $436,000


More than 2,000 people participated in the the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Richmond Chapter's annual Richmond Walk to End Alzheimer’s Nov. 5 at Markel Plaza in Innsbrook. The event raised more than $436,000 for Alzheimer’s care, support programs and research.

The event is one of three walks that benefit the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Richmond and is held in celebration of National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month and National Family Caregivers Month.

Donations to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be accepted through the end of the year and can be made at http://www.alz.org/walk. In total, the three walks this year have raised more than $644,344. > Read more.
