Henrico Teen Theatre Company to present “Simply Cinderella” at CACGA

Description: The Henrico Teen Theatre Company will present “Simply Cinderella” at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Aug. 2-5 at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. Overworked Cinderella swings her broom at the Fairy Godmother, thinking she’s a giant moth. Meanwhile, the Queen wants the Prince to choose a suitable bride, but he would rather play video games than dance with a girl. Admission is free. To reserve a seat, call 501-5859.

Summer Nature Series at Three Lakes Nature Center to feature snakes

Description: The Summer Nature Series at Three Lakes Nature Center, 400 Sausiluta Dr., continues with “Ssslither – Snakes” from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Nature center staff will open the classroom doors to visitors and share a variety of items from the nature collections. Sandston Library, VMFA to offer pinhole photography workshop

Description: Learn the science behind photography and construct a pinhole camera to create photographs at a workshop at Sandston Library from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Students will view the first photographs as they look back at the history of photography, discuss how photography has changed over the last century, and make rudimentary photographs using pinhole cameras (supplied). This program requires sunny skies; registrants will be informed by phone or email in case of rescheduling. This program is organized by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Brothers Osborne to perform at Innsbrook After Hours

Description: Innsbrook After Hours continues its 32nd year with Brothers Osborne. The Osborne siblings, TJ and John, grew up in Deale, Md., playing everything from traditional country music to rock and roll. Their major-label debut is titled “Pawn Shop.” Gates open at 5 p.m. Show begins at 6 p.m. Tickets start at $20. The Virginia Hemophilia Foundation’s 2017 VHF Trick or Trot 5K and Fun Walk will start at 9 a.m. at Robious Landing Park, Shelter 3, in Midlothian. There will be a 5K course, a quick one-mile route and the Monster Dash, a 100-yard fun run for kids 12 and under. Costumes are highly encouraged. A pre-race Halloween party will feature a DJ, food and more. Funds raised will go toward fulfilling VHF's mission of supporting the needs of those impacted by a bleeding disorder through education, advocacy, and community.
