Richmond Spring Carnival in Midlothian planned Mar. 30 to Apr. 9

Description: The Richmond Spring Carnival will take place Mar. 30 to Apr. 9 at 6807 Midlothian Tnpk. This family-friendly event features favorite fair food, games, and rides for all ages, from fun kiddie rides to state-of-the-art thrill rides, all along a colorful midway. Admission is free; ride cost varies. Unlimited ride wristbands are $25 Monday-Thursday and $30 Friday-Sunday. Ride tickets are also available onsite for $1.50 each, $25 for 20 tickets, or $50 for 50 tickets plus one free ride. Hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Description: Henrico County Public Schools Exceptional Education Department’s Autism Coordinators and Transition Services will hold a Community Night Out from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hermitage High School. Representatives from local agencies will be on hand to provide information on options and services available to students and their families. Description: Varina Library will host a Death Café from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Led by spiritual and bereavement counselor Alane Miles, a Death Café is a gathering during which attendees can discuss death and dying in a surprisingly upbeat and informative way. Ask questions about the often-taboo topics of death, dying, grief and funeral practices. Our Lady of Lourdes to host Lent program 'Come to The Garden of Gethsemane'

Description: Our Lady of Lourdes will host the Lent program “Come to The Garden of Gethsemane,” a musical prayer service in the tradition of Tenebrae and Taizé with reflective scripture, soloists, choral and congregational singing, at 7 p.m. A freewill donation of canned food or dollar gift for the church food pantry is requested.
