Henrico Theatre to present fourth season of ‘Henrico Live’


The fourth season of "Henrico Live" at Henrico Theatre in Highland Springs will feature 14 shows – from country music to jazz, one-man theatre to full theatrical performances – between September and May. The theatre announced the scheduled earlier this month.

The theatre also announced new options for season tickets, through which patrons may choose which performances they wish to include with their season tickets and save more money as they include more shows.

‘Unanswered Prayers’ to Premier Nov. 29

Unanswered Prayers, a made-for-television movie shot in the Richmond region, including several locations in Varina, will premiere on the Lifetime Television network on Monday, Nov. 29 at 9 p.m.

The movie was produced by singer Garth Brooks and based on his song of the same name. The film explores the themes of marriage, family, community and second chances with love, asking, “Did I let the one I loved get away, or is she right in front of me?”

‘Dancing with the Stars of Richmond’ Planned

The second annual “Dancing with the Stars of Richmond” fund-raising event will be held on Friday, Nov. 12, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Rigby’s Jig Dance Studio, 5740 West Broad Street.

‘Va. Arts and Letters Live’ Coming Oct. 15

One of the Commonwealth’s premiere showcases of literary, theatrical and musical talent is coming to Henrico on Oct. 15.

Virginia Arts & Letters Live features Virginia actors reading works by Virginia writers, accompanied by Virginia musicians.

After several years in Richmond proper, VALL will stage its 2010 production at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. The show is co-produced by James River Writers and CACGA, in association with the READ Center.
