Henrico County, GRTC to conduct series of public meetings on transit service changes

Henrico County, in partnership with GRTC, is conducting a series of three Public Meetings to present recommended changes to transit service in Henrico County and to seek input from the public. Portions of Henrico County’s GRTC service will need to be adjusted to better connect with the upcoming Pulse BRT service and planned changes in the City of Richmond’s transit network. Meetings will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations: Oct. 5 – Libbie Mill Library; Oct. 16 – Eastern Henrico Recreation Center; and Nov. 2 – Tuckahoe Library. All three meetings will be identical in content. Prior to the meeting, you can view the Choices Report for more information about the content of the meetings.

The Department of Justice and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children ranks Richmond one of the Top 20 jurisdictions for sex trafficking in the United States. Henrico-based Safe Harbor provides the support that survivors of domestic violence. sexual assault and human trafficking need to overcome their crisis and to transform their lives. Artist Nancy Blum, Professor Eric Brenner to present “The Art and Science of Plant Dynamics”

Artist Nancy Blum, whose exhibition of new drawings opens Nov. 3 at the Reynolds Gallery, will take the stage with Dr. Eric Brenner, associate professor of biology at Pace University, for a dialogue about their shared fascination with plant evolution and the infinite complexities of the plant world. The event, “The Art and Science of Plant Dynamics,” will take place from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. Curator Ashley Kistler will moderate the conversation. There will be a cash bar before and after the event featuring a floral cocktail designed for the occasion. Admission is free and open to the public.
