Second Annual Sandston Spring Carnival

The Second Annual Sandston Spring Carnival will be held at the Sandston Pool, 501 Beulah Road in Sandston. The event will feature food, 25 vendors, games, photos, face-painting, music, raffles, a bounce house, balloon animals and more. It is presented by the Sandston Pool and the Sandston Stingray Swim Team.

 

Alzheimer’s Association to hold support group at St. Mary’s Hospital

Each month, the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Richmond Chapter conducts support group meetings to provide the community with an opportunity to meet for mutual support and to exchange coping skills. A group for caregivers will meet at 6 p.m. at St. Mary’s Hospital, 5801 Bremo Rd., Room 163. For details, call 967-2580.

 

Varina Library to present ‘The History of Comics’

Virginia Commonwealth University's Special Collections librarian and comic book guru, Cindy Jackson, will share her knowledge of graphic novels and comic books from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Varina Library.
