West Broad Village will host Movies on the Lawn starting around 9 p.m. at “The Pad” next to Aloft. The movie will be “The Princess Bride.” Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Crossover Healthcare Ministry, 8600 Quioccasin Rd., will host a free Back 2 School Community Immunity Clinic from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 18 and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 19. The clinic is open to children up to 18 years old who are uninsured or who have Medicaid/FAMIS and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. There will be vaccinations, school and sports physicals, and dental and vision screenings. Vaccinations are available only to children without insurance. Make sure to bring your child’s vaccine record and school physical form.

The fifth annual Youth Triathlon, presented by Endorphin Fitness, will take place at 8 a.m. at the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls, 8716 West Broad St. The race is open to ages 5-14 and features a short pool swim, loop bike course closed to vehicular traffic, and a run on level playing fields. An optional four-day youth triathlon camp will precede the event, taking place Aug. 14-17 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Participants will be taught essential skills of the sport in a safe, fun environment. Cost of the camp is $95. All proceeds from the event will benefit the children at VHBG. Highland Springs United Methodist Church will hold its first Highland Springs Family Fun Fest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be games and prizes for children of all ages, a bounce house, basketball contests, cake walks and more. The Henrico County Police Division will provide rabies vaccines for dogs and cats from 9 a.m. to noon at the Henrico County Government Center, 4301 E. Parham Rd. Pet owners must register and pay at the cashier’s office in the Administration Building before seeing a veterinarian on the first level of the adjacent parking deck. Each vaccine costs $10 and must be paid in cash. A rabies tag and certificate of inoculation are included. Pets from all localities are welcome. Cats must be in carriers.
